/a/ - Anime & Manga [Make a Post] Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 Nanonymous 2020-02-13 14:24:14 No. 2216 (L) [D] [U] [F] [S] [L] [A] [C] >>2225 File: b4b99f856ad3eaef198027ceaf22c915218d15dd4aba9d7f73291f74666baa3f.jpg ( dl ) (366.75 KiB) Ghost in the Shell is one of my favorite anime, between the cyberpunk aesthetics, good characters, deep themes and good animetion(in original two movies and original SAC at least) I think there are objectively some of the best anime ever made in the series. I didn't like Arise or the new movie and didn't even watch the live adaptation, I already know the series is not the same as it was in the past but I guess I've been in denial for a while. And then it comes this new series SAC_2045 supposed to be a sequel of some sort to SAC, at first I was enthusiast to have a sequel to SAC since I loved it, but what it seems we will get are fortnite-tier 3d graphic and netflix cuckoldry, tbh I would be happier it they would have let SAC rest in peace instead of taking a dump on its grave and ruining its memory. Why can't we have anything good? Am I being pessimist or biased? What do you think of this abort? Nanonymous 2020-02-13 18:21:23 No. 2221 [D] >>2224 Don't forget that the Japanese are ultimately just chinks. Don't put running the past into the ground above them. Anyway, of course digital animation, and doubly so 3D digital animation are trash. I've never actually watched GITS though. Given normalfags are all over it I'm afraid it's another Evangelion situation, but I'm willing to give it a try. What torrent should I get? There's an infinite number of releases by different groups encoded from different sources. I hear some of the sources are redrawn digitally so I don't want that to ruin the experience. All I care about is lossless Japanese audio, English subs, and no filterfaggotry unless it's correcting mastering/encoding mistakes from the source. I'm on private trackers so I can probably get whichever release it is. Nanonymous 2020-02-14 04:37:11 No. 2224 [D] That's just how it is OP. Companies want to make money and they will keep producing it until no one buys anymore. Just don't watch it. Go find other anime similar to it, like Akira, Psycho-Pass, Ergo Proxy, Cowboy Bebop. Or movies, such as Brazil (1985), Gattaca, THX-1138 (1971), Avalon (2001), Dark City (1998), eXisten> (2001) and Nirvana (1997). >>2221 >I'm willing to give it a try Highly recommend you watch GITS 2: Innocence. The first one can be difficult to 'diggest', while the second can be mind blowing. I don't see any point in being so pessimistic before release. That said I can't think of many shows which had a better reboot than the original, ref: Kino's Journey - Bubblegum Crisis - YU-NO - Evangelion - Initial D etc. also the 3D animation made me sad too [Catalog] [Overboard] [Update] [Reply] 2 files, 3 replies
