It contains jewgle analprolapsytics scripts. And most of the links on it are to normalfag websites anyway, such as leddit and twitter. Most normalfags can find those on jewgle in two seconds and then add them to the bookmark toolbar, which makes pale moon's startpage mostly redundant **except for the purpose of data mining*.* Nanonymous 2022-03-07 01:01:34 No. 59211 [D] >>59219 Pale Moon is the absolute worst browser for privacy and security. By using Pale Moon, you are making yourself stand out by having a unique fingerprint, thus worsening privacy. I do not believe randomizing your fingerprint is an effective way to combat fingerprinting. It would make much more sense for most people to use Google Chrome and disably telemetry in chrome://settings and chrome://flags. If one requires anonymity, they should use the Tor Browser as it is the only browser designed to protect your privacy and combat fingerprinting without having users change any settings. Sure, it was forked from an old Firefox version, but they've still always developed and updated it further. The sandbox thing also seems to be different in Pale Moon, since it's a single-process program. Also it was never really about complete anonymity, you should just use the Tor Browser for that (it would be based if the Tor Project made a second Tor Browser based on Pale Moon ngl) Nanonymous 2022-03-09 11:10:45 No. 59329 [D] >>59385 > By using Pale Moon, you are making yourself stand out by having a unique fingerprint Devs removed general.useragent.override, which was the simplest way to change User Agent string. https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?t=25624 Nanonymous 2022-03-09 15:44:21 No. 59343 [D] >>59384 >>59520 >>59326 >it would be based if the Tor Project made a second Tor Browser based on Pale Moon No it wouldn't. By creating a second browser you are dividing the Tor userbase allowing more users to stand out, and since most people don't use Pale Moon, the people that do use it will no longer be anonymous because they'll have a unique fingerprint. Also, Pale Moon is even less secure than Firefox. What would be based is if the Tor Project scrapped the current Tor Browser and made a new one based on Chromium. What you're refering to as Pale Moon, is in fact, Goanna/Pale Moon, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Goanna plus Pale Moon. Pale Moon is not a web browser unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Goanna system made useful by the Goanna browser engine, SpiderMonkey and vital system components comprising a full web browser as defined by W3C.
